Healthy Child Development. The Protective Factors. And the 2013 National Child Abuse Prevention Month resource guide.
We have the opportunity to put a spotlight on healthy child development, the Protective Factors, and the prevention of child abuse and neglect during the month of April, because April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAPM). To prepare for CAPM, we want to encourage you to visit the Child Welfare Information Gateway where you can find an array of resources and materials for the communities you live in. These resources consist of among other things, the Preventing Child Maltreatment and Promoting Well-Being: Network for Action 2013 Resource Guide, Tip Sheets, and an Online Media Toolkit, as well as a range of calendars that provide suggestions for CAPM related activities, including one titled "30 Ways for Community Partners to Promote Child Well-Being During National Child Abuse Prevention Month," which was developed by Prevent Child Abuse America in collaboration with our fellow National Movement for America's Children founding partners.
