Awaken to Change - Meet the Speaker!

Prevent Child Abuse America and Healthy Families America are proud to announce nationally recognized healthy child development speaker, Cordelia Anderson, M.A. of Sensibilities Prevention Services as a plenary speaker at Prevent Child Abuse America’s National Conference – Awaken to Change – The National Conference for America’s Children, October 12-15, 2012, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Cordelia Anderson will discuss her Demand the Change for Children – Leap Forward for Prevention campaign. Demand the Change for Children (DCC) is a grassroots collaboration mobilizing parents, professionals, organizations, and communities to prevent child sexual abuse by changing social norms. This session helps participants consider a wider range of prevention strategies and the role of activism in their work. Whether you are an individual or organization that carries activism in your heart, or want to run in the other direction thinking this has nothing to do with your life or work, this session has ideas for you.

Anderson will also discuss the Impact of Pornography on Children, Youth, and Culture on Sunday, October 14. And present on The National Plan to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on Monday, October 15, with Deborah Callins, MAEd.
