Throughout his decades-long Senate career, Senator Kennedy fought passionately and tirelessly for policies that were community focused and fostered healthy child development. From creating the Children’s Health Insurance Program and improving access to quality early childhood programs, to increasing the minimum wage and strengthening civil rights, Senator Kennedy’s leadership and dedication impacted the lives of children and their families across the country.
